Violet Expressions

If you have been searching for inspiration that is filled with texture and rich royal hues, then this styled session is the one you have been searching for. Planned by Weddings and Events by Mindy this session explores the rich hues of violets, royal blues and gold and plays with a myriad of textures with the images from this session captured by Sunshine's Photography.

The teams stylists, Xpressions Floral Design and Exquisite Creations worked together to create an analogous colour palette that blends harmoniously into the modern industrial brick venue. The team highlighted the raw beauty of The Enterprise Mill Events Centre, not only with their bold use of colour and texture but with the delicate and romantic florals by Xpressions Floral Design, that softened the atmosphere and brought the romance flooding in. We particularly love the use of the white anemone's, pale pink ranunculus and mauve roses and the inspired bridesmaids hoop bouquet.

The teams stunning bride, Kelsey and her bridesmaid Taylor looked absolutely stunning with fresh natural makeup with just a hint of mauve and violet created by the teams makeup artist Ooak Beauty while their styles were taken care of by the talented Holly Freeman, we love the addition of the fresh florals to the brides updo. The bridal gown was a flowing Ivy & Aster design with a lace bodice while the bridesmaids dress was a delicate shade of blue with a scoop neckline and ruched detailing across the bodice from Weddington Way. The wedding day looks were completed with beautiful jewellery from Styled by Markie.

Not to be outdone, Andrew, the teams dapper groom was styled in a classic grey suit, crisp white shirt and a rich purple toned bowtie courtesy of Simons Formal Wear. Andrew's look was completed with the addition of a sweet little buttonhole created from florals to match the brides bouquet by Xpressions Floral Design.

Stationery for the shoot was created by Emery Ann Design and featured a stunning watercolour floral envelope liner reminiscent of the florals used throughout the shoot, alongside a contemporary handwritten style invitation that featured a floral monogram that was set onto a trio of backing cards of rich navy, burgundy and violet with the suite was finished with a monogram belly band of the same design.

Everyone knows that a stunning tablescape wouldn't be complete without the perfect name escort card and adding to the opulent look for this was the addition of agate slices with the guests names meticulously written in gold calligraphy by Calligrapher Birdie Lane & Co. and we must say we love the outcome!

Our Favourite details by far however, was the shoots cake and sweets. The rich tones and textures in the cake by Diana from Celebrate with Cake has us wanting to reach out and take a piece for ourselves to try, while the stunning Macarons in royal blue with luminous hand painted gold detailing by She Bakes it Designer Cakes has our mouths watering!
