Sarah and Rob

Tonight we are in Lewisville, Texas, with Sarah and Rob as they celebrate their engagement with an elective, vibrant and fun photoshoot in and Old Town Lewisville Plaza and a brand new venue in the area known as The Lounge. Captured by the talented Kelly of Blackall Photography, this session made us smile with each new image we saw. Keep reading as we chat to Sarah and Rob and find out all about the proposal, the bling and their plans for their big day.

Let’s start at the beginning. How did you two first meet?

Sarah and I met at our work, she swindled me into helping her more a two hundred pound armoire! Who knew being ‘the guy with a truck’ would pay off so well!

Tell us some things that you both value in your time and what makes your relationship unique and special to you both?

We just love doing everything together! We really got to know each other through soccer which we’ve played together weekly for the last 7 years or so. Both of us love ‘doing things’ but also can have a blast just relaxing together.

How and when did you know your partner was the one?

I don’t know that there was a ‘moment’ per-say, I think there was always something special between us. We were always drawn towards each other. We spent the first few years just as friends and just always had so much fun with each other.

We are all about romance, so give us all the details of the proposal. How and where did it happen? Was it a surprise?

It definitely wasn’t a surprise that I was proposing at some point, but I think that I threw enough smoke screens the night I actually did it that it surprised her! There was quite a bit of planning and coordinating with a couple of friends. I proposed to Sarah at Klyde Warren Park on the fifteenth of December twenty-eighteen. To get her to the location I had one of our friends ask us to go to a play downtown, as we were walking to grab a drink afterwards, I poped the question. Her best friend was hiding in the shadows taking a lot of photos to capture the moment. After the proposal we grabbed dinner and then Sarah ‘had’ the idea to stop by her Brother and Sister-in-law’s house on the way home to show off the ring. What she didn't know was that we were several steps ahead of her and had anticipated her move and surprised her with about sixty of our friends and family who were already waiting at the house.

We’re not going to lie, we love the bling! so tell us all about that ring!

Big, sparkly with a rose gold band. Her best friend helped me pick out the band, I think we did well cause it has a crown looking piece just under the setting.

Are you excited to start planning your wedding day? Do you have any ideas in mind yet?

Wedding is planned and Sarah has done a phenomenal job coordinating vendors and family members! We’re both super pumped for our next chapter!
